By MIKE KONZ Hub Enterprise Editor KEARNEY — It took eight men to carry the 10-foot by 4½-foot pearly white granite counter top for Kelsey and Matt Dobish’s oversize kitchen island into their new home northwest of Kearney. The island is large enough for a helicopter to land, and it’s one of the many details in the home that are beyond the ordinary. The bas- ket weave marble and hardwood entryway floor, the stylish and intricate kitchen back splash and the special ceiling treatment in the dining room are just a few exam- ples of the classy extra touches the Dobishes have incorporated. “I love to build,” said Matt, who is a partner with Kelsey in Dobish Construction. The company builds new homes and does remodeling. The couple is using its new place at 6050 Standage northwest MATT AND KELSEY DOBISH have three sons, Lane, 5; Beau, 2; and Kash, 3 months. The famiy moved into its new home northwest of Kearney in December 2017.
